Kate Mildenhall is an Australian author, writing teacher, and podcaster based in Hurstbridge on Wurundjeri lands. Her debut novel, "Skylarking," was longlisted for the 2017 Indie Book Awards and the Voss Literary Prize. Her second novel, "The Mother Fault," received critical acclaim, being longlisted for the 2021 ABIA General Fiction Book of the Year and shortlisted for the 2021 Aurealis Science Fiction Novel of the Year. In 2023, she released "The Hummingbird Effect," further establishing her reputation in the literary community.
In 2024, Mildenhall ventured into children's literature with "To Stir with Love," illustrated by Jess Racklyeft. This picture book reflects her deep appreciation for family traditions and the special relationships between generations.
